Master of The Killer Ants

So, I'm totally enthralled with Termites vs Jaglavak ants fight. It's a little gross, but really neat to watch the tiny Jaglavaks beating up the soldier termites that are like over 5X's its size. These soldier termites have big red heads, and beet stained teeth...I mean jaws. As the crazy fight is taking place, the worker termites and Jabba the Hut (queen termite), who is like 300X the size of the worker, are trying to escape. She plods along and disappears into a hole. Gross.

So, it's kind of nice to be the 'King' termite. The king gets to mate with the queen once in while but gets fed by the workers like the queen. He just sits around and waits until she needs to mate again. Lovely.

One of my favorite places to get an amazing heros (aka - subs, hogies) is Vito's. I drove an extra two hours, sitting through Lincoln Tunnel traffic, on my way to CT to make the stop in Hoboken, NJ. So, worth it. I ordered the "Vito's", which has ham, salami, mutz, lettuce, hot peppers, and dressing on it. The mutz and the bread make the meal. Yum!

My weekend was topped off with spending time with my college girl friends. Gracie brought homemade wine to the party (Thanks Dex) and we ladies polished off quite a few bottles and enjoyed a fabulous sweet potato pasta meal. Cora gets two thumbs up for the weekend! Too bad I had to get up at 6AM in order to make it back to Columbus.
